David Goad

David is based in our Hong Kong office and has led seminars for enb consulting in Asia, Europe and the UK for finance professionals covering equities, fixed income and commodities through to derivatives and structured products.

With over sixteen years of front office experience structuring capital markets products and fundraisings across the asset spectrum in Asia and Europe, he has been instrumental in developing highly innovative solutions for corporates ranging from one billion US dollars bond with structured warrants, balance sheet leveraging/deleveraging CB/CPS issues and corporate derivative packages for acquisitions, through to property asset backed structures.

David was previously Head of Asian Structured Equity & Joint-Head of Asian Equity Capital Markets at SG Securities in Hong Kong where he worked on a number of hedge fund and private equity targeted fundraisings.

Prior to joining SG Securities, he was Head of Asian Convertibles at HSBC Investment Bank in Hong Kong in 1994 when Swiss Bank Corporation (SBC) asked him to set up their equity syndicate desk for the region which entailed working closely with fund managers on new equity fundraisings by corporates as well as Government privatisations. David originally joined SBC in London working on developing fixed income analytics and swaps systems before moving to the convertible bond desk where he built the convertible bond trading and risk models and initiated the convertible bond research product. With SBC’s acquisition of Chicago derivatives specialist firm O’Connor’s, David was able to experience the dynamics of the options trading pits in Chicago before returning to London to set up the equity derivatives OTC desk.

David holds a first class honours degree in Computer Systems from the University College Cardiff, University of Wales and an MSc in Computer Science from Queen Mary College, University of London.
