Jeremy was formerly an Executive Director with Commerzbank AG, responsible for the bank’s highly successful activities in Leveraged Finance and Venture Capital. Prior to this, he ran Quantum Capital Limited, a private corporate finance advisory firm, providing strategic advice to UK and US technology companies, making various acquisitions in Europe on behalf of a US asset management company and advising the UK Government on a securitization framework for university student loans.
From 1993 to 1996, he was Head of Structured Finance at Lazard Brothers, where he was responsible for establishing the firm's debt advisory business. At Lazard he was involved in the reconstruction of Lloyds of London as well as a number of other innovative transactions, including the first UK negative equity mortgage product, structuring the first rated ‘criteria-driven’ US property tax lien transaction and arranging a AAA-rated insurance-backed film finance deal for the US movie industry.
Prior to Lazard he spent ten years at UBS latterly as Executive Director, Asset Securitisation, responsible for the structuring of asset-backed financings including the first AAA-rated auto loan securitizations in the UK. While at UBS he was also responsible Money Markets origination; leading a team charged with establishing an investment banking presence in Japan; and in the early 1980's worked in fixed income sales with responsibility for Swiss institutional clients.
He has an honours degree in Banking & International Finance from The Cass Business School, London.
