Kate joined ENB Consulting with a background in corporate banking and over 20 years experience of specialising solely in property finance.
Kate’s consultancy work has included advising major property construction companies on the financing options available to achieve their corporate objectives. Her clients included public companies, the private sector and PFI.
This work required detailed and current technical knowledge of the legal, fiscal, accounting & corporate issues affecting such structures, design & execution of complex financial spreadsheet models of cashflow, P&L and balance sheet forecasts, the ability to inform and guide board-level decision-making coupled with effective marketing skills.
Spending a significant amount of time as an Expert Witness has allowed Kate an insight into the full spectrum of banks’ practices; she has reviewed and reported on the lending practices of over 50 lending institutions, highlighting both their strengths and weaknesses in analysing, documenting and monitoring loan proposals with values from £5m to just under £1 billion, each of which had failed in someway.
Prior to working as a consultant and expert witness, Kate worked at CIBC as a Senior Manager in the Property and Construction department as one of a team of three people succesful in their remit of establishing the bank as a top-tier property finance house from scratch.
Kate draws her Corporate Banking Experience from her role as a Manager in the Credit Lyonnais Corporate Banking Department where she established the property-lending sector, and prior to that at Grindlays Bank.
Kate has an Honors degree in Mathematics from the University of London, and is a member of the Investment Property Forum and Society of Expert Witnesses.
