Philip was educated at Eton College and Geneva University (HEC).
During a 30 year career in the City with five banks, Manufacturers Hanover Limited, Merrill Lynch, County Bank, Daiwa Securities and Tokyo-Mitsubishi Limited, he worked in Asset Management, Bond Sales, Bond syndication and, for the last 20 years, as head of the Capital Markets groups of three banks. He has experience of working in the US, Canada, the Middle-East, the Far-East, Southern Africa and all over Europe.
His clients were the Governments of Canada, Denmark, France, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, South Africa, the accession States, etc. amongst others. The Banks and Supranational and other institutions were also his responsibility.
Amongst his roles was the training and development of the teams under his leadership. At Daiwa Securities his team was awarded the “Bond house of the year”.
Philip has been coaching and training speakers and sales teams in a number of banks and financial groups for the last three years. His personal experience of working in the banking field gives him insight into the techniques needed to present and sell.
Philip has also spoken at many conferences around the world and sat on or chaired several Panel discussions on a variety of topics related to the Capital Markets. He is able to present and coach in both English and French.
